Everton will continue it's legacy in English Premiere League

Everton FC is a Liverpool-based English professional association football team that plays in the Premier League, the highest level of English football. The club joined the Football League as a founding member in 1888, and as of May 2023, it has played in the top level for a total of 120 seasons, missing only four (1930–31, 1951–52, 1952–53, and 1953–54). Everton is the team that has been consistently present in English top-flight football for the second-longest period of time and is ranked third all-time in terms of points. Nine League Championships, five FA Cups, one European Cup Winners' Cup, and nine Charity Shields have all been won by the club.

For continuing the legacy of the club to play in the English top-tier football league,  the club went through a heck of a season. In the 2021-22 season of premier league, the club survived the relegation with 39 points finishing at 16th position. The fans were hoping for the team to comeback stronger in the next season. However, the fans got disappointed in the 2022-23 season where the team nearly got relegated from the premier league which would have the club's historical legacy of 69 years in the English top tier football league ended. 

The club was able to survive another season in the premier league in the last matchday of the season where they defeated Bournemouth with 1-0 score. The club secured their position in the next premier league season with the decisive goal scored by the Mali midfielder, Abdoula Doucoure in the 57th minute of the game. With the victory in the last matchday of the premier league, Everton FC finished in the 17th position with 36 points just above the relegated side, Leicester City with 34 points. Other two relegated teams are Leeds United and Southampton with 31 points and 25 points respectively. With a finish in the premier league table in the 17th position, the club will be continuing their 69 years long legacy in the English top-tier football league.

Meanwhile, Manchester City completed their hattrick of premier league title wins by winning the premier league for third consecutive time since 2020-21 season. The club have won 5 premier league title in 6 years under manager, Pep Guardiola. Also, Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United finished in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place respectively. The Liverpool FC couldnot make it to the top four this season and had to be satisfied with 5th place. They will play in the Europa League and will be joined by football club, Brighton who finished in 6th place. The spot for the Europa Conference League was decided in the final matchday where Aston Villa came on the top at the 7th position to book the spot for the Conference League. However, Totttenham Hotspur and Brentford FC fought till the end to play in the next season of Europa Conference League, but they had to be satisfied with 8th and 9th position. 

With this crazy drama in the last matchday of this premier league season, the fans will be hoping for more of this in the upcoming seasons. English Premier League is ranked as no. 1 football league in the whole world. Erling Haaland earned a golden boot by being the highest goal scorer in this season of the premier league and Kevin De Bryne of Manchester City became the highest assist maker this season.
